Product Description
The Renesas Electronics ISL90727WIE627Z-T7A is a high-performance, digitally controlled potentiometer designed for precise analog signal adjustment and calibration in modern electronic systems. This component integrates a resistor array, wiper switches, and a digital control section, all packaged in a space-saving 6-pin SC-70 surface mount format for streamlined PCB integration.
Offering 128 distinct wiper positions, the ISL90727WIE627Z-T7A provides fine granularity in resistance selection. Its 10 kΩ linear taper allows for accurate response in both divider and rheostat configurations. The volatile memory type ensures quick responsiveness and a predictable power-on preset to the midscale wiper position, ideal for applications requiring fast startup and recalibration.
The potentiometer supports a supply voltage range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V, accommodating various digital logic families and analog environments. Digital control is implemented via a Serial I2C bus interface, simplifying integration with microcontrollers and processors. Internal CMOS technology achieves low active (max 200 μA) and standby (max 500 nA) current consumption, making it suitable for battery-powered and energy-sensitive designs.
Mechanical dimensions are optimized for dense assemblies. The SC-70 package measures only 2.15 mm in length, 1.35 mm in width, and 1 mm in height, significantly reducing the required board space. The six-pin package is lead-free and complies with RoHS directives, meeting industry standards for environmental safety.
With a typical temperature coefficient of 45 ppm/°C for rheostat and 15 ppm/°C for divider operation, the device maintains resistance precision across a wide temperature range from - 40°C to +85°C. The ISL90727WIE627Z-T7A is not specified to automotive standards but is well suited for industrial, instrumentation, sensor calibration, programmable gain amplifiers, and automation control.
In summary, this digital potentiometer is ideal for use in industrial electronics, laboratory instrumentation, manufacturing calibration circuits, and commercial electronic designs requiring high accuracy, compact size, and advanced digital control.
