Product Description
TE Connectivity 4-643814-2 12-Way IDC Connector Female for Cable, part of the MTA-100 series, supports 250V AC at 5A current and uses a 2.54mm pitch. This IDC connector is designed for one-step insulation displacement contact assembly, eliminating the need for wire stripping and allowing quick termination of 28 AWG to 22 AWG wires or ribbon cable. Female contacts are shrouded and plated with tin over nickel to enhance durability and resistance to fretting corrosion.
The connector features a friction lock mechanism to ensure secure mating and molded ribs to prevent reverse mating errors. Its right-angle orientation and cable mount type make it suitable for neat wiring harness configurations.
