Abracon PRO-OB-572 WiFi Antenna with SMA Connector is a high-performance internal antenna designed for Narrowband IoT (NB IoT) applications. It covers frequencies from 791 MHz to 2170 MHz across two bands and provides an omni-directional radiation pattern with a gain of 2.8 dBi, suitable for reliable wireless communication.

The antenna employs Planar Inverted-F Antenna (PIFA) technology, which requires mounting on a ground plane to achieve optimal performance. To improve performance in multi-layer PCB designs, vias should ensure smooth ground connections to avoid splits in the ground plane. Additionally, a ground clearance is recommended around the no connection and RF feed pads through all PCB layers. A matching network can be incorporated to optimize antenna impedance specific to the application.

The compact form factor and 10 mm cable length facilitate easy surface mounting, making it ideal for integration within industrial electronics, IoT devices, networking equipment, and commercial WiFi deployments.
