STMicroelectronics VL53L4CX is a proximity sensor IC designed to deliver highly accurate and reliable digital distance measurements extending up to 6 meters. Manufactured in a compact 12-pin LGA surface mount package with dimensions 4.4mm in length, 2.4mm in width, and 1.0mm in height, this sensor integrates advanced histogram technology enabling precise detection from 0 mm upwards.

The sensor employs a new generation laser emitter with an 18° field of view, which improves performance in ambient light conditions while providing multiobject detection with depth understanding. STMicroelectronics' patented algorithms ensure resistance to cover glass crosstalk beyond 80 cm and include dynamic compensation for smudges on targets closer than 80 cm.
