Product Description
Electromen OY EM-241-SAF is a high-efficiency DC motor positioning controller supporting 10V to 35V supply voltage and continuous current rating of 15A. It utilizes PWM function for precise motor control, featuring a solid-state power stage based on FET transistors to ensure efficient operation.
The device accepts various control signals including voltage (0-11V), current (0-20mA), and potentiometer inputs, with analogue feedback also supported within 0-11V range. It provides auxiliary 5.5V output voltage for potentiometer excitation.
Maximum positioning accuracy reaches 0.2%, exceeding typical actuator requirements. Movement limits can be easily adjusted from both end points through switch parameter settings. The controller includes numerous dynamic adjustments, such as load compensation, dead-zone (positioning window), and customizable start/stop ramps enabling smooth direction changes and braking zones.
The onboard LED indicates operational faults, which can be forwarded externally via a combiport that also supports position OK output and re-transmission of current position as analogue voltage. The EM-241-SAF controller exhibits very low RF emissions, making it suitable for application in environments sensitive to electromagnetic interference, such as medical equipment.
Configuration and parameter setting are user-friendly with three external devices: EM-236 interface unit, EM-268 PC-based Menthol-Lite software, and EM-326 Menthol-App smartphone application.
The controller supports 12-24V DC operation with 15A continuous and 30A peak current. Features precise set value and feedback inputs with multiple signal options. Compact design fits DIN rail installations. Enhanced dynamic controls for speed, current limiting, and braking.
