Bridgetek FT801Q-R is a surface mount graphics controller packaged in a compact 48-pin VQFN form factor measuring 7mm by 7mm by 0.9mm. Operating at a minimum supply voltage of 3.3V, this controller targets embedded applications that require high-quality Human Machine Interface (HMI) displays.

The Embedded Video Engine (EVE) architecture of the FT801Q-R integrates advanced graphic features, audio processing, and a capacitive touch screen controller supporting up to 5 simultaneous touches. It provides compatibility with WQVGA (480x272) and QVGA (320x240) display resolutions, enhancing graphic rendering quality with 8-bit color calculations despite limited RGB pins.

Equipped with a built-in 12MHz crystal oscillator and PLL, the device can generate 48MHz or 36MHz system clocks, ensuring precise timing for display and processing. The chipset supports clock switching between internal and external sources, allowing use of an external 12MHz crystal or clock input for increased accuracy.

Power efficiency is a key feature with typical active current of 24mA and a sleep mode current of just 250 microamps, making it suitable for portable embedded systems. The architecture eliminates the need for frame buffer RAM, thereby reducing overall system cost and complexity.
