STMicroelectronics T3050H-6T is a high current 3-pin TRIAC designed for through hole mounting using a TO-220 package. Rated for a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 500 V and a rated average on-state current of 30 A, this device delivers enhanced dynamic performance and low power loss, making it suitable for demanding industrial and appliance applications.
Engineered specifically to operate up to a temperature of 150°C, it features excellent thermal dissipation supported by an internal ceramic pad providing voltage insulation rated at 2500 VRMS. The device incorporates ST Snubberless™ technology that allows for minimal commutation and superior noise immunity, which ensures reliable control of universal motors and inductive loads commonly found in power tools and household appliances.
This TRIAC supports a maximum gate trigger current of 50 mA and a maximum trigger voltage of 1 V with a maximum holding current of 75 mA. Additionally, it has a surge current rating of 284 A ensuring robustness against transient surges.
The TO-220 package and clip bonding improve the thermal resistance characteristics, allowing heatsink size optimization which results in cost-efficient and space-saving solutions when compared to electromechanical alternatives.
