Microchip MCP4728EV Signal Conversion Development Kit is designed for rapid evaluation of the MCP4728 quad 12-bit digital-to-analogue converter device.
This Development Kit facilitates interfacing with the PICkit™ Serial Analyzer (model DV164122) via an I²C serial interface. Users can input DAC data through the Serial Analyzer's PC GUI, with the analogue outputs instantly reflecting the input values, streamlining development workflows.
The MCP4728 device supports internal or external voltage references, providing output voltages from 0 to 2.048V or 4.096V (using internal VREF) or up to VDD when using an external reference. It features a very low differential non-linearity and fast settling time, ensuring high precision and fast signal generation.
Operating voltage ranges from +2.7 to +5.5 VDC with low power consumption, supporting both normal operation and power-down modes. The kit's extended temperature range from -40°C to +125°C makes it suitable for industrial and harsh environment applications.
Provides a user-friendly platform for evaluating Microchip's MCP4728 DAC in embedded, industrial, laboratory, and signal processing applications. Implementations include signal conversion tasks requiring multi-channel analogue outputs with high accuracy and speed.
The board's compact form factor and standardized interface simplify integration into development systems and testing setups. Facilitates learning, prototype development, and signal conversion validation in electronics and power management projects.
This evaluation kit excludes the PICkit Serial Analyzer, which is required for full operation and is sold separately. The kit is ideal for electronic engineers and developers working on precision DAC integration, embedded systems, and industrial control systems.
