Product Description
ADAFRUIT INDUSTRIES 1203 Barcode Reader/Scanner Module is an advanced sensor development tool designed for integration with barcode reading projects. Featuring a camera-based scanner instead of conventional mechanical mirrors, it captures 100 photographs each second for rapid and accurate 1D striped barcode decoding. The module operates on a DC 5 V ±5% supply and consumes only 80 mA, suitable for embedded system applications including Raspberry Pi and BeagleBone.
This module includes a visible red light LED at 632 nm wavelength for precise illumination over a depth of field of 230 mm at 20mil/0.5mm resolution with PCS90% reliability. It achieves high resolution scanning of 5mil/0.127mm at PCS90% ensuring accuracy in barcode recognition. The device functions effectively in ambient light conditions up to 5000 lux and temperature ranges from 0°C to 50°C, with storage conditions between -20°C and 70°C.
