ADAFRUIT INDUSTRIES 2328 5V RGB LED Strip is a high-quality flexible LED strip measuring 500 mm in length and 5 mm in width. Featuring 144 LEDs per metre, this strip utilises advanced DotStar LEDs that integrate a microcontroller inside each 5050-sized LED creating a digital addressable lighting solution.

The flexible PCB material allows easy installation in various applications including decorative lighting, displays, signage, and creative electronics projects. Each LED contains a built-in 20 kHz PWM controller enabling smooth colour transitions with minimal flicker, which is essential in Persistence-of-Vision and dynamic lighting effects.

Operating at a nominal voltage of 5V DC, the strip must not exceed 6V to avoid damage. It uses a generic 2-wire SPI communication protocol with separate clock and data pins, offering precise and rapid colour and brightness control using 24-bit colour depth (8 bits each for red, green and blue).

The strip is supplied with a 4-pin JST SM connector for quick integration with microcontrollers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, and others. Users can cut the strip at designated cut lines after every LED to customize length or join strips for extended runs.

This product complies with RoHS standards ensuring it meets environmental and safety requirements. It is manufactured in China and is part of the DotStar product series known for superior performance and flexibility.
