Designed primarily for automotive wire-to-wire and wire-to-board applications, this connector housing integrates a housing lance design that protects contacts against damage caused by rocking action (known as KOJIRI action) during mating and unmating. The integral double lock mechanism on the wire side provides secure contact retention, preventing partial insertion or loose connections important in automotive electrical systems.
With its miniature and high-density layout, the MULTILOCK 070 series supports use in powertrain, safety, convenience, driver information, body, and chassis automotive systems. The housing is compatible with MULTILOCK series contacts, specifically female crimp contacts in the plug housing and male tab contacts in the receptacle housing.
