The Microchip KSZ9896CTXI is a 128-pin TQFP Ethernet Switch IC designed for industrial and networking applications requiring robust, high-performance Ethernet switching capabilities. Operating between 3.13 V and 3.46 V supply voltages, it supports data rates up to 100 Mbps with full duplex and half duplex communication modes, delivering flexibility and efficiency.

This device integrates five Ethernet physical layer transceivers compliant with 10BASE-Te, 100BASE-TX, and 1000BASE-T standards accompanied by MAC units, enabling multi-port connectivity including a configurable GMII/RGMII/MII/RMII MAC port. The flexible digital I/O voltage capability allows direct interfacing with various host processors or controllers supporting 1.8 V, 2.5 V, or 3.3 V logic levels.

The KSZ9896CTXI provides a non-blocking wire-speed Ethernet switch fabric with robust forwarding and filtering controls including advanced port-based Access Control List (ACL) filtering, VLAN, and Quality of Service (QoS) to prioritize and manage network traffic efficiently.
