STMicroelectronics STEVAL-STWINWFV1 Wi-Fi Expansion Board provides reliable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity designed specifically for the ISM43362 SensorTile Wireless Industrial Node (STWIN) Kit to extend its wireless capabilities. This expansion board plugs into the STWIN core system board via a dedicated 12-pin connector and operates on a single 3.3 V power supply input, optimized for low power consumption in industrial environments.

The embedded ISM43362-M3G-L44-E Wi-Fi module supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols based on a Broadcom MAC/Baseband/Radio device. It offers a fully contained TCP/IP stack enabling seamless network communication features such as ICMP (Ping), ARP, DHCP, TCP, and UDP. The host interface uses SPI communication up to 25 MHz, ensuring efficient data transfer and responsiveness in embedded applications.

Security is emphasized with support for WEP-128, WPA-PSK (TKIP), and WPA2-PSK authentication methods, enabling secure wireless connections critical for industrial IoT and sensor applications. Application examples utilizing this expansion board are provided in STMicroelectronics’ STSW-STWINKT01 firmware package and the FP-IND-PREDMNT1 Predictive Maintenance Function Pack.
