The 8STA series connectors comply with MIL-DTL-38999 specifications and are developed primarily for motorsport applications such as Formula 1, Moto GP, WRC, Nascar, and other competitive racing environments requiring lightweight, vibration and shock resistant connectors. They are also suitable for military uses including UAVs, ground vehicles, and infantry interconnections where compact size, robustness, and reliability are critical.

The connector features a quick mating bayonet lock system requiring only a one-third turn with an audible click to mate securely.
