Product Description
This device is designed for pinpointing underground cable faults in power transmission and distribution networks using acoustic methods. It features selectable output voltage ranges of 8kV, 16kV, and 32kV, which are continuously variable, and delivers high energy of 1000 Joules per range (with an optional 2000J). The device supports single impulse and sequence intervals of 1.5, 3, and 6 seconds.
It facilitates pre-location of cable fault distances in ICM mode with a suitable pre-locator unit and in SIM mode with an arc reflection filter. The device includes a foldable pre-locator desk, a cable bracket for easy cable management, and a top flap for dust protection. Its outer structure is made of aluminum extrusion, and it features large rubber wheels for easy transport on-site. Safety interlocks with indicators are provided for the Variac, HV switch, and HV output.
