The isolator utilizes transformer and optical isolation techniques, achieving 2.6 kV insulation between input, output, and power circuits, ensuring no electrical connection between sensed pulses and output signals.

Certified for SIL 2 applications according to IEC 61508, it is suitable for use in zone 0/Division 1 explosion hazard areas, limiting energy at sensor contacts to prevent ignition risks.
