RS PRO 408-3863 Black High Density Polyethylene Plastic Sheet, measuring 500 mm x 500 mm x 20 mm, is engineered for robust industrial and manufacturing use. Manufactured from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), it combines outstanding mechanical strength with chemical resistance, making it suitable for a variety of engineering applications.

This HDPE sheet provides excellent resistance to dilute acids, cleaning agents, and numerous solvents, and demonstrates very good electrical insulation properties. Its UL94 HB flammability rating ensures safety in environments requiring flame retardancy. Operating temperature up to 80°C allows its usage in moderate temperature industrial processes.

Its hardness of 50 Ball Indentation and an impact strength of 12 kJ/m² provide durability under mechanical stress. The water absorption rate of only 0.02% helps maintain material integrity in humid or wet environments. Additionally, its low thermal conductivity of 0.17 W/mK offers thermal insulation benefits.

Typical applications include chemical apparatus components, plugs, seals, food processing equipment parts, insulators, and low-load rollers. This sheet meets DIN 50014 standards and is produced in Germany to ensure high manufacturing quality.
