RS PRO 282-0200 Black POM Plastic Sheet is an engineering-grade polyoxymethylene (POM) acetal solid plastic sheet measuring 500 mm x 300 mm x 16 mm. This black semi-crystalline thermoplastic offers exceptional toughness, high mechanical strength, and rigidity, making it highly suitable for demanding industrial and engineering applications.
The POM-C grade provides excellent chemical resistance along with outstanding slide and wear properties, ensuring components fabricated from this sheet slide smoothly without sticking or locking. Its durability and low friction make it ideal for precision parts such as gears, bearings, rollers, and housing parts requiring high rigidity and low friction.
Key technical attributes include a tensile strength of 55 MPa, hardness of M 86 Rockwell, and an impact strength of 12 kJ/m². The material maintains performance at maximum operating temperatures up to 100°C, with a low water absorption rate of 0.5% and thermal conductivity of 0.17 W/mK. It conforms to flame retardancy standard UL94 HB (DIN 50014).
