Microchip MCP2021-500E/SN is a LIN Transceiver designed for reliable bi-directional, half-duplex communication at data rates up to 20 kBd. It comes in an 8-pin SOIC surface mount package measuring 4.9 mm in length, 3.9 mm in width, and 1.25 mm in height. This device interfaces between microcontrollers and Local Interconnect Networks (LIN), compliant with LIN 1.3, 2.1 and the SAE J2602-2 specification standards.

The MCP2021 integrates a 50mA voltage regulator providing either 5 V or 3.3 V output depending on the model variant, thus simplifying power management. It supports a broad supply voltage range from 6 V up to 18 V, enabling operation in diverse automotive and industrial environments.
