Product Description
3M 804240 Ethylene Propylene Rubber Cold Shrink Tubing provides a black, open-ended tubular rubber sleeve with a 67.8 mm sleeve diameter and 152 mm length. This 8420 series cold shrink tubing is made from high-quality ethylene propylene rubber, delivering excellent thermal stability and superior resistance to ozone, ultraviolet light, acids, alkalis, and fungal growth.
The tubing is factory expanded and assembled on a removable core for ease of field installation. Upon removal of the core, the tubing shrinks tightly onto the cable, creating a waterproof seal that effectively protects cable splices and connectors against moisture and environmental contaminants. It meets the water seal requirements of the ANSI C119.1 standard, making it ideal for high-voltage insulation with a 1000 V rating.
