Moflash E1EX Series metallic stainless steel cable gland with M20 thread is designed for steel wire and aluminium armoured cables with diameters ranging from 9 mm minimum to 15 mm maximum. It offers high ingress protection with IP66 and IP68 ratings, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor industrial applications including hazardous areas.
This cable gland features captive components that enhance installation safety by eliminating loose parts. The captive cone and cone ring provide a secure armour clamp and earth bonding, essential for cable integrity in demanding environments.
The gland is factory fitted with a specially formulated elastomeric seal which seals effectively on the inner sheath of the cable, maintaining IP66 and IP68 ingress protection. Its patented disconnect system allows inspection of the armour clamp and inner seal after assembly, ensuring maintenance ease and safety compliance.
Manufactured from marine grade electroless nickel-plated brass or stainless steel for corrosion resistance and durability, this gland operates reliably within a temperature range of -20°C to 95°C. Its design meets hazardous area certifications including ATEX for use in explosive atmospheres, offering equipment protection levels Ex d IIC Gb, Ex e IIC Gb, among others.
