It combines a fully compliant Bluetooth Smart 4.0 radio, link layer, and host stack within a compact 32-pin QFN package. This device operates in the 2.4GHz ISM band offering up to 0dBm RF output power and excellent receiver sensitivity of -87dBm at 1Mbps data rate.
The nRF8001 supports a clock frequency of 16MHz and is powered by a low supply voltage range from 1.9V to 3.6V, enabling operation from small power sources such as 3V coin cells.
