RS PRO 796-2019 PIR Sensor is a ceiling-mounted passive infrared sensor designed for automated presence and absence detection. Operating on a 230 V AC supply with a power consumption of 895 milliwatts, it manages electrical loads up to 10 A, making it ideal for lighting and ventilation applications.

The sensor features a 76 mm diameter sensor head with physical dimensions of width 64.9 mm and height 61.2 mm. It employs both PIR technology for motion detection and an integrated light level sensor that activates the device under low light conditions. The device includes an output channel consisting of a mains voltage relay that enables simple on/off switching.
