STMicroelectronics ST25TN01K-AFH5 is a high-performance NFC forum type 2 tag RF transceiver IC enclosed in a compact 5-pin DFN-5 surface mount package. It operates using ASK modulation at a data rate of 106 kbps and complies fully with ISO/IEC 14443-2 and 14443-3 Type A standards as well as the NFC Forum Type 2 tag specification.
This transceiver IC integrates an embedded electrically erasable programmable memory (EEPROM) allowing for the storage of NDEF messages, which are widely used for NFC-enabled devices interaction. Communication is achieved by harvesting operating power directly from the RF field produced by the NFC poller, eliminating the need for external power components.
