TE Connectivity 1-174957-1 MULTILOCK 070 Series Straight Through Hole PCB Socket is a high-density, compact 12-contact connector solution featuring a 3.5 mm pitch and 2 rows for wire-to-board applications. Designed for durability and reliability, it is engineered for automotive and industrial use cases including powertrain, safety, convenience, driver information, and body and chassis systems.
The connector incorporates a housing lance design which protects contacts from KOJIRI action damage caused by rocking during mating cycles. This design also enables the use of lanceless contacts which prevents deformation and tangling. The integral double locking mechanism on the wire side ensures secure contact retention, and the Mk II plug housing enhances this with a two-piece double lock plate preventing partial contact insertions.
The housing and contacts are made with brass and plated with tin to ensure optimal conductivity and corrosion resistance. The socket supports a nominal voltage of 12V and operates reliably across a temperature range from -55°C to 105°C, suitable for harsh automotive environments.
This series includes plug and receptacle housings and PCB headers for versatile wire-to-wire and wire-to-board connectivity.
