The MikroElektronika MIKROE-2441 Brushless Click Motor Controller is a mikroBUS evaluation board designed for controlling 3-phase full-wave brushless DC motors. Utilizing the Toshiba TB6575FNG PWM sensorless controller IC, it precisely regulates motor speed without requiring sensors.
This board accepts an external power supply ranging from 7 V to 32 V DC capable of delivering up to 2 A of current, making it suitable for applications in small cooling fans, automotive industry systems, battery-powered devices, HVAC systems, computers, small home appliances, medical equipment, robotics, toys, and drones.
Key control interfaces include a PWM pin for duty cycle modulation, an INT pin for sensing rotation speed output, an AN pin (VSENSE) to monitor the voltage of the DC power supply, and an RST pin to select motor rotation direction. Protection features such as overcurrent protection and MOSFET output switching ensure reliable operation without damage.
The MCP6281 operational amplifier prevents phase reversal, enhancing motor stability. Lead angle control settings of 7.5° and 15° allow performance tuning. The board supports both forward and reverse motor rotation. Its compact size of 57.15 x 25.4 mm and the 5 V power supply available via the mikroBUS socket facilitate easy integration into various development projects.
