MikroElektronika MIKROE-1387 4-20mA R Click Add On Board Development Board is an add-on designed to work as a receiver in a 4-20 mA current loop system, widely used in industrial process control and testing applications.
This board receives output current from a transmitter (such as the 4-20 mA T Click board) and converts it into a voltage level using the INA196 current shunt monitor. The voltage is then digitized into a 12-bit digital signal by the MCP3201 ADC and communicated via SPI interface to the host microcontroller.
It adheres to the mikroBUS™ pinout standard, allowing easy integration with compatible mikroBUS sockets and microcontroller target boards. Power is supplied through a TPS61041 DC/DC boost converter which supports both 3.3 V and 5 V input voltages, maximizing flexibility in power supply options.
The 4-20mA R Click is ideal for precise sensor signal acquisition in industrial, manufacturing, environmental monitoring, and laboratory instrumentation contexts requiring current loop communication standards.
The board comes with header strips already soldered, facilitating straightforward mounting and integration for rapid development cycles. The board uses INA196 current shunt monitor for accurate current measurement. MCP3201 12-bit ADC ensures high resolution digital conversion.
Compatible with mikroBUS™ pinout and various microcontroller platforms. Supports 3.3 V or 5 V power via TPS61041 DC/DC boost converter. Enables completion of 4-20 mA current loop systems when paired with compatible transmitter boards.
This development board is widely applicable in electronic components, signal conversion development tooling, automation controls, and embedded system prototyping. Browse more Development Boards and signal conversion accessories on EnvMart for comprehensive industrial electronics solutions.
