MikroElektronika MIKROE-1897 LightRanger Click is a sensor development tool designed as a mikroBUS Click Board featuring the VL6180X Time-of-Flight proximity sensor and ambient light sensor (ALS). This board integrates an 850nm infrared VCSEL emitter to measure distances accurately up to 100mm.

The module’s absolute range measurement is independent of the surface reflectance of the target, making it reliable in diverse environments. It also functions effectively under high ambient light conditions, making it suitable for indoor and various industrial sensing applications.

Communication with host systems is enabled through a serial I²C bus, allowing seamless integration with MikroElektronika microcontroller development boards and other platforms supporting mikroBUS socket standards. The device is powered by either +3.3V or +5V DC supply and includes an onboard LED power indicator for operational status.
