Microchip USB2512B-I/M2 is a high-performance 2-Channel USB 2.0 Controller IC designed for efficient USB hub operations with a single power supply voltage ranging from 3 V to 3.6 V. Housed in a compact 36-Pin SQFN package, this controller ensures low power consumption with robust signal handling suitable for USB 2.0 compliant systems.

This device features Microchip's proprietary MultiTRAK™ technology, providing each port with a dedicated Transaction Translator to maintain consistent Full-Speed data throughput, regardless of active downstream connections. This capability enhances USB communications by supporting Hi-Speed (480 Mbps), Full-Speed (12 Mbps), and Low-Speed (1.5 Mbps) protocols along with USB Battery Charging Rev. 1.1 for Charging Downstream Ports.

The USB2512B-I/M2 incorporates flexible features such as PortMap for adaptable port sequencing, PortSwap to program USB differential-pair pin locations matching physical layouts, and PHYBoost for programmable USB signal drive strength, improving signal integrity on PCBs.
