TE Connectivity 207470-1 Series Thermoplastic Straight D-Sub Backshell, 15 Way, features a durable black thermoplastic housing designed for use with HDP Metal-Shell series d-sub connectors. This backshell provides excellent cable strain relief and protection in demanding electronic and industrial environments.
The assembly consists of an AMPLIMITE unassembled hinged box and lid with a non-shielded, thermoplastic construction, including black zinc plated steel flat head screws for secure fastening. The cable exit is straight, and the cable support gates can be reversed to accommodate either discrete wire or jacketed cable, enabling versatile installation options.
This backshell is designed to fit connectors with 15 contacts and a D-Sub Shell size A. It is compatible with male screw retainers and female screw locks, as well as locking posts and spring latches sold separately to enhance connector retention and stability.
