FTDI Chip C232HM-EDHSL-0 USB Cable is a 500mm long USB 2.0 cable featuring a male USB Type A connector and a female unterminated connector end. It contains an integrated FTDI FT232H chip encapsulated within the USB connector, facilitating fast and efficient USB signaling and protocol handling without the need for USB-specific firmware programming.
The cable supports synchronous serial protocols through the Multi-Protocol Synchronous Serial Engine (MPSSE) for high-speed communication interfaces including SPI, JTAG, and I2C with data rates up to 30 Mbps. It includes 1kB receive and transmit buffers to enable high data throughput and adjustable receive buffer timeout to optimize data flow.
The black polyvinyl chloride jacket provides robust mechanical protection and insulation. The cable is USB powered with a maximum current output rating of 450mA at 5V DC on the VCC line. It is compatible with common USB host controllers UHCI, OHCI, and EHCI.
