The Lapp UNITRONIC LiYCY Series 0034704-50 is a durable twisted pair screened cable engineered for reliable data and signal transmission in industrial, IT and automation environments. This model features 4 twisted pairs (8 conductors) of colour-coded, stranded bare copper wire, each with a cross-sectional area of 0.75 mm². The flexible construction makes it ideal for complex installations where space saving and bendability are required.

The cable’s core is insulated with PVC and the wires are layered and DIN colour-coded for rapid circuit identification. Screening is provided throughout by a dense tinned copper braid, ensuring robust resistance to electromagnetic interference and signal degradation, even in harsh industrial electromagnetic environments.

A tough, flame retardant outer sheath made from grey PVC further protects the core while allowing the cable to withstand operational temperatures between -40°C and +80°C. This cable is capable of handling voltages up to 250 V and is flame retardant to IEC 60332-1-2 and EN 60332-1-2. The overall diameter is 7 mm, and it is supplied as a continuous 50 m reel - providing flexibility to cut precise lengths for installation requirements.

Designed for easy termination and customisation, the cable is delivered as unterminated ends and can be equipped with connectors as needed. It is ideally used for RS 232 serial devices, process control, control and signalling systems, instrumentation technology, and electronic control equipment. Its robust screening and low capacitance properties ensure maintaining the integrity of analog and digital signals in noisy plant environments.

Other key features include the use of 24 strands per conductor with each strand sized at 0.20 mm, providing both mechanical flexibility and good conductivity. The cable is suitable for fixed and occasional flexible installations in dry or damp indoor locations.
