ROHM BU33UV7NUX EVK-101 is a synchronous buck-boost DC-DC converter evaluation board designed for low power consumption and efficient power supply management, ideal for battery-powered applications. It supports powering devices using either two-cell alkaline/NiCd/NiMH batteries or a single Li-ion/Li-polymer battery.
This converter can deliver output currents up to 500mA at a fixed 3.3V output voltage, achieved via an internal resistor divider. When the input voltage (Vin) exceeds 3.3V, the output voltage (Vout) is connected directly to Vin via a pass-through function to maximize efficiency.
The BU33UV7NUX includes a reset circuit with detection voltage set at 1.5V and release voltage at 1.9V, ensuring reliable operation. It features a disconnect function that activates during EN-OFF and undervoltage lockout (UVLO) conditions to prevent unnecessary power drain.
Users can benefit from its auto PFM/PWM control modes, which automatically switch depending on mode selection and input voltage, optimizing the converter's efficiency under various loads. Additionally, the converter incorporates a thermal shutdown circuit to protect against overheating.
The evaluation board utilizes a compact 10-pin VSON010X3020 package, making it suitable for space-constrained designs and development environments. It complies with RoHS standards, ensuring environmentally responsible manufacturing.
