Product Description

STMicroelectronics STEVAL-ISA084V1 is a demonstration board designed for power management applications using the ST1S40 PWM synchronous step-down regulator. This evaluation board supports input voltages ranging from 4 V to 18 V and can regulate output voltages as low as 0.8 V up to the input voltage with a 100% duty cycle. The ST1S40 device integrates a 95 mΩ high side switch and a 69 mΩ synchronous rectifier, providing very high efficiency even at low output voltages.

With a fixed switching frequency of 800 kHz, the converter achieves optimal efficiency with minimal external components, resulting in a compact and cost-effective solution. The device features peak current mode control with internal compensation to maintain stable and reliable performance across varying load conditions.
