PR Electronics 9107BA HART Transparent Driver is a high-performance signal conditioner for operation and control of I/P converters, valves, and indicators in hazardous areas. This device supports bidirectional transmission of HART communication signals over a 4-20 mA current loop, allowing interaction with HART-enabled field devices.

Designed for intrinsically safe energy levels, the 9107BA model complies with SIL 2 safety standards as per IEC 61508. It is suitable for installation in safe areas or hazardous zones such as Zone 2 / Cl. 1 Div. 2 and transmits signals safely to zones 0, 1, 2 and zones 20, 21, 22. This includes compliance with mining and Class I/II/III Div. 1 Group A-G hazardous environments.

Key features include 2.6 kVac galvanic isolation between input, output, and power supply, configurable direct or inverted channel functions, and monitoring of internal error events with individual status relay outputs. The transparent driver allows easy configuration and programming through the detachable PR 4501 display, which offers a user-friendly interface with a four-line backlit LCD and password protection.
