Microchip PD-IM-7608M Power Management Development Kit is designed for evaluation of Power over Ethernet (PoE) operations based on PD69200 and PD69208M chipsets. This kit demonstrates the functioning of eight 2-pair port systems and supports IEEE 802.3af/at/bt Type 3 standard compliance, making it suitable for industrial, commercial, and networking applications that require efficient power management and PoE functionality.

The development kit features PD69208M, a Power over Ethernet manager IC that integrates power, analog, and advanced logic technologies within a compact 56-pin plastic QFN package. It supports 8 ports, allowing up to 8 ports delivering 30W each or 4 ports delivering 60W each, enabling versatile power distribution configurations.

Equipped with a USB host interface and UART, the kit facilitates communication and control for monitoring and configuring PoE operations. LED streams provide clear visual status indication of power delivery and port activity. The board is organized into two gangs, each containing 4 RJ45 connectors, facilitating straightforward connection to network devices.
