STMicroelectronics IIS2DHTR is a high-precision 3-axis surface-mounted accelerometer sensor operating within a supply voltage range of 1.71 V to 3.6 V. Packaged in a compact LGA 12-pin form factor measuring 2 mm in length and width, and 1 mm in height, it is engineered to deliver both analogue and digital measurement outputs. The sensor utilizes advanced MEMS technology to provide accurate acceleration data with a sensitivity of 207.55 mg/digit.
This accelerometer supports multiple serial interface types including Serial-4 Wire, I2C, SPI, and Serial-3 Wire, allowing versatile integration with various microcontrollers and processing units. With an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, it is suitable for a wide array of industrial and commercial applications.
Low power consumption is achieved through a supply current of only 11μA, with advanced power-saving modes such as ultra-low-power operation, auto wake-up, and FIFO data buffering which help reduce system power consumption and processing loads.
The IIS2DHTR sensor is ideal for applications in the automotive sector, telematics, black boxes, and vehicle navigation, as well as anti-theft and intelligent power-saving devices. Additional uses include vibration compensation and motion-activated functionality in portable electronics like smartphones and PDAs.
Manufactured in Malta, this product offers robust performance without automotive-grade certification (not intended for automotive safety applications). Its compact LGA package facilitates seamless mounting on printed circuit boards where size and power efficiency are critical.
