Hammond 1554E2GYCL is a new polycarbonate enclosure from the 1554 series featuring a clear grey body with IP68 ingress protection. Measuring 61 mm in height, 88.9 mm in length, and 66 mm in width, this enclosure is designed to withstand harsh industrial conditions while providing durable and safe housing for electrical components.

Constructed from robust polycarbonate material that carries high flame-retardant UL94 certifications (HB, V-0, 5VA), it ensures safety and reliability in electrical enclosures. The transparent door enhances visual monitoring without compromising protection.

The enclosure employs a "tongue and groove" two-piece gasketed lid design which significantly reduces ingress of dust, oil, and water. The lid is firmly secured using included stainless steel M4 screws threaded into corrosion-resistant bushings to allow repetitive assembly and disassembly.

The replaceable silicone gasket is UL listed for high temperature durability and is included loose inside the enclosure for user installation.

Internal mounting options include both screw and DIN rail mounts, offering versatility for printed circuit board and component installation. The enclosure is rated to meet or exceed NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12, and 13 ratings, making it suitable for demanding electrical and industrial applications, particularly indoors.
