Product Description

Microchip ATSAMA5D27-WLSOM1 Evaluation Kit is a high-performance communication and wireless development tool designed for evaluating and prototyping with the SAMA5D27-WLSOM1 wireless System On Module (SOM) and the SAMA5D27C-LD2G LPDDR2 System In Package (SIP). Operating at a maximum frequency of 500MHz, this kit enables the development of advanced embedded systems with robust wireless capabilities.

The kit is composed of a baseboard featuring the ATSAMA5D27-WLSOM1 SOM soldered onto the ATSAMA5D27C-LD2G SIP, integrating a 2-Gbit LPDDR2 SDRAM along with an integrated Wi-Fi®/Bluetooth® module. It also includes a Secure Element device for enhanced security, a Power Management IC (PMIC), and QSPI memory to support complex application requirements.

Connectivity is ensured via a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet PHY, facilitating various network applications. The evaluation kit provides 94 General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) pins, enabling flexible interfacing for complex embedded systems.
