Phoenix Contact 2801615 Lightning Arrester is a high-performance Type 1/2 surge protection device designed for DIN rail mounting, providing protection against lightning-induced surges in electrical installations. It supports single-phase power supply networks with separate neutral and protective earth conductors (L1, PE, N), effectively shielding sensitive equipment from transient overvoltages.
This arrester from the FLT-SEC series is capable of withstanding a maximum surge current of 10 mA and continuous voltages up to 350 V AC, suitable for 230/400 V AC networks with fluctuating voltage conditions. Its spark gap design eliminates line follow current, ensuring enhanced safety without leakage current, making it suitable for use in the pre-meter area.
The device is pluggable and designed for DIN rail mounting which offers safety, convenience, and ease of access during installation and maintenance. It includes an optical mechanical status indicator and a floating remote indication contact for monitoring the device status remotely. This feature enables timely detection of device condition without physical inspection.
The arrester operates reliably within a temperature range from -40°C to 80°C, complying with international standards IEC 61643-11 and EN 61643-11, guaranteeing quality and safety compliance. It provides low voltage protection levels of approximately 1.5 kV, ensuring effective surge suppression.
This lightning arrester is ideal for various industrial and commercial applications including energy supplies, building installations, telecommunications infrastructure, wind power systems, machine-building industries, and datacenters where surge protection is critical to prevent equipment damage.
The Phoenix Contact FLT-SEC series is part of a complete line of products that collectively facilitate efficient control cabinet assembly, from connections and switching to measuring, controlling, supplying, and automation, ensuring optimal cabinet performance.
