Product Description
Hammond 1550WQ Die Cast Aluminium Enclosure is a highly durable, shielded instrument enclosure designed for industrial and electronic applications. It features a rugged diecast aluminium alloy body and natural coloured lid, providing excellent EMI/RFI shielding and robust mechanical protection. The enclosure measures 26 mm in height, 60 mm in length, and 55 mm in width, and has been tested to IP66 standards to resist dust and high-pressure water jets.
The lap joint construction enhances sealing against dust ingress and water splash, supported by an EVA foam gasket around the lid. The enclosure is finished with a vibra smooth surface on the unpainted version to avoid sharp edges, ensuring safe handling and ease of modification. For secure closure, it employs four M3.5 x 0.6 x 12 mm stainless steel Philips head screws engaging factory-tapped holes, simplifying assembly.
