Microchip RN42XVP-I/RM Bluetooth Chip 2.1 is a fully certified, compact Class 2 Bluetooth module designed for wireless communication integration in embedded systems. It operates at a frequency of 2.48 GHz with a maximum output power of 4 dBm, supporting Bluetooth version 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) for improved data throughput up to 3 Mbps.

This module features ultra-low power consumption, drawing just 26 μA in sleep mode and 3 mA when connected, making it ideal for battery-powered or low-power applications. It provides flexible interfaces including UART (with SPP or HCI modes) and USB (HCI only), enabling easy integration with various host controllers.

The embedded Bluetooth stack supports multiple profiles such as Generic Access Profile (GAP), Service Discovery Protocol (SDP), RFCOMM, and L2CAP, including Serial Port Profile (SPP), Human Interface Device (HID), and Dial-Up Networking (DUN), facilitating versatile use cases.
