Microchip RN42HID-I/RM Bluetooth Chip 2.1 is a compact, Class 2 Bluetooth module equipped with UART communication interface and an extended Human Interface Device (HID) profile. Operating with Bluetooth version 2.1 + EDR, it ensures backward compatibility with Bluetooth 2.0, 1.2, and 1.1, delivering robust wireless communication at 3Mbps data rate.

This Bluetooth chip operates at a voltage range of 3.0V to 3.6V and is designed to function reliably across a wide temperature span from -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for demanding industrial, medical, and commercial environments. The module measures 25.8mm in length, 13.4mm in width, and has a slim height of 2mm, facilitating easy integration into compact device designs.

Equipped with an embedded Bluetooth stack supporting GAP, SDP, RFCOMM, L2CAP protocols along with Serial Port Profile (SPP) and HID profiles, the RN42HID-I/RM caters specifically to human interface devices like keyboards, mice, game controllers, and multimedia devices.
