Product Description
The RS PRO 458-207 is a straight chassis loudspeaker connector designed for reliable audio and AV signal connection applications. Featuring a single male contact and black colour coding, it is built for chassis mounting in speaker enclosures, amplifiers, and audio panels where professional signal integrity is essential.
Crafted from durable brass with gold over nickel plating, this connector offers superior electrical conductivity and corrosion resistance, ensuring long operational life in demanding environments. The contact rating of 16A allows support for high-current audio circuits, making it suitable for both commercial and industrial audio installations.
The 4 mm stackable plug design enables flexible connection strategies, with a large entry hole accommodating cables up to 7.5 mm outer diameter. Cables can be secured either via direct insertion or clamped using the onboard knurled screw, simplifying assembly and maintenance. Screw termination ensures a robust, vibration-proof connection suitable for professional AV setups.
With a chassis mount orientation, this connector is ideal for fixed installations, and the maximum panel thickness specification of 20 mm empowers designers to integrate it into thicker panels and custom arrangements. The male gender allows effective mating with industry-standard female plugs; colour coding facilitates channel separation and system identification.
Common industrial use cases include: professional audio equipment manufacturing, AV installations, studio wiring, commercial speaker systems, educational facility AV deployments, and laboratory signal routing.
Not intended for mains connections, the RS PRO 458-207 is strictly for audio and low-voltage signalling, prioritizing user safety and compliance with installation standards. For more audio/AV connectors, browse the full RS PRO range in Speaker Connectors category at EnvMart.
