The HI4003 Solid State Cadmium Half-Cell Ion-Selective Electrode (ISE) is engineered for the accurate and selective measurement of cadmium ions (Cd2+) in aqueous solutions. Utilizing a mixed cadmium sulfide/silver sulfide sensing pellet, this half-cell ISE delivers a rapid potential change due to the cadmium ion exchange at the membrane interface. The robust epoxy body construction ensures high durability against chemicals and mechanical stresses, making it suitable for challenging laboratory and industrial environments.
This electrode offers a comprehensive measurement range from 0.1 M to 1 × 10–7 M (equivalent to 11,200 to 0.01 mg/L Cd2+), with an approximate Nernstian response slope of +28 mV. Its optimal operation covers a pH range of 2 to 12 and a temperature range of 0 to 80 °C. The HI4003 is designed for seamless use with a HI5315 reference half-cell electrode (reference required for full operation). The BNC connector and 1-meter coaxial cable enable straightforward connection to a wide array of ion meter and laboratory systems.
