Product Description

Microchip LAN8710A-EZC-ABC is a 32-pin QFN Ethernet transceiver designed for industrial and commercial Ethernet interface applications operating at 3.6 V supply. It supports 10 BASE-T and 100 BASE-TX operation at speeds up to 100 Mbps with full duplex communication capability. The transceiver is compliant with IEEE 802.3-2005 standards and interfaces via MII and RMII to Ethernet MAC controllers.

The device integrates flexPWR® technology providing flexible power management and supports LVCMOS variable I/O voltage ranging from 1.6 V to 3.6 V. The onboard 1.2 V regulator with disable feature enables optimized power usage and simplified board design. It includes HP Auto-MDIX for automatic detection and correction of crossover cables improving installation flexibility.

Encased in a compact and lead-free 32-pin QFN 5x5 mm package, this transceiver operates reliably over commercial temperature range from 0°C to 85°C. Industrial temperature variants are also available for harsher environments. The device requires a low cost 25 MHz crystal for clock generation which helps reduce Bill of Materials (BOM).
