Product Description
RS PRO 787-7826 Type K Mineral Insulated Thermocouple Sensor features a 250 mm length and 1 mm diameter stainless steel probe suitable for temperature sensing from -40 °C to +750 °C. This thermocouple employs mineral insulation with a stainless steel sheath that is both flexible and durable, allowing it to be bent and shaped as needed.
The Type K thermocouple operates on the Seebeck effect, measuring temperature differences via two dissimilar metal wires joined at a hot junction insulated from the sheath, which significantly reduces electrical noise and interference.
Its mineral insulation uses a compacted magnesium oxide powder that provides excellent heat transfer and protects the internal wires from corrosion and damage, ensuring rapid response times and long service life under harsh industrial and laboratory conditions.
