EAO 31-281.0252 Illuminated Push Button Switch for Series 31 is designed for versatile use in Human Machine Interface (HMI) panel mounting, ideal for Process Control, Panel Building, Machinery, and Instrumentation industries.

The switch is available in multiple bezel shapes including round (18 mm diameter), square (18x18 mm), and rectangular (18x24 mm) to suit varying panel designs. It integrates either a snap action or low level switching element with options for momentary or maintained switching actions for flexible control applications.

The snap action element features a reliable self-cleaning, double-break mechanism with solder terminals, while the low level element ensures functionality for electronic circuits ranging from very low currents (10 μA at 100 μV) to moderate loads (100 mA at 42 Vac/dc). Connectivity is provided through universal terminals supporting direct soldering or PCB mounting.

Illumination options include a T1 ¾ midget groove filament lamp or a single chip LED operating from 6 to 48 volts. For supply voltages exceeding 48 V, an external series resistor is required to protect the illumination source. Installation requires a 16 mm panel cut-out compatible with panel thicknesses between 1.5 and 6 mm.

The switch body and actuator are made from self-extinguishing materials complying with Class II safety standards. It offers high electrical strength tested at 2500Vac 50Hz for 1 minute between terminals and earth, conforming to IEC 60512-2-11. The raised button profile enhances operability and tactile feedback.
