Product Description
RS PRO 381-7407 stainless steel compression fitting is engineered to securely attach thermocouple or PRT probes into process fittings such as flange plates, thermowells, or bulkheads. Its robust 303 stainless steel construction ensures durability and excellent resistance to corrosion under industrial conditions.
This compression fitting operates by using an outer compression nut and an inner compression ring or ferrule, known as an 'olive'. The male BSPP parallel thread allows the fitting to be screwed tightly into thermowells or bulkheads while the probe is inserted into the aperture. Tightening the compression nut compresses the olive around the probe sheath, securing it firmly and providing a tight seal against process fluids.
