Dold BA9010 3AC230/400V 1.5/3kW soft starter is a high-quality single-phase motor starter designed to control soft start-up for motors up to 5.5 kW and a maximum supply voltage of 400V. It features IP30 protection and mounts on a standardized 35 mm DIN rail, facilitating easy integration into industrial control panels.
The BA9010 reduces the mechanical stress on motors and connected machinery by controlling the motor voltage during start-up. One of the three motor phases is controlled so that the current rises smoothly, providing jerk-free motor torque development. This prevents damage to drive elements and reduces starting noise, thereby safeguarding conveyor belts, pumps, compressors, and packaging machines.
The device's power semiconductors are bypassed by an internal relay after successful motor start, minimizing energy losses during continuous operation. Additionally, the soft starter offers adjustable starting time and torque, and can be combined with motor brake units for versatile application needs. It does not require a neutral conductor and is suitable for easy installation in existing systems.
